Living legal tradition.

The ESPLÁ firm was founded in 1974 in Barcelona as a professional partnership dedicated to the practice of law with a focus on commercial and insolvency matters. Five decades later, it keeps the same vocation of direct, multidisciplinary practice with proximity to the client.

The professional partnership operates today under the name Esplá Abogados Asociados, S.L.P., at Calle Gran de Gràcia 47, 4º 2ª, 08012 Barcelona.

Lawyer in active practice for the last twenty-five years, registered with the Barcelona Bar Association. Twenty-five years across insolvency, restructuring and M&A. Accumulated practice in court-supervised insolvency proceedings, restructuring plans, personal debt discharge mechanisms, small and mid-cap M&A, commercial contracts and inbound investment law.

He runs the firm directly. No intermediate team between the client and the table where decisions are made. Works with specialised external advisors when the case requires it, and only then.

Four lanes, one table.

A serious corporate crisis is never just financial. It activates four planes at once: organisational leadership, ethics and character of the decision-maker, personal and family finances, and legal insolvency technique. Accompanying it well requires treating the four as parallel lanes with coordination points, not as layers that reduce to each other.
